FAQ

- It is never too early or too late to start training. Old dogs can definitely learn new tricks.

Have Questions? I've got answers.

Is my dog too old or too young for training?

- I do not take on dogs in need of behavior modification. I'm always happy to pass on the name of excellent trainers that are an a better match for aggression, reactivity or extreme fear.

Are there any types of issues you will not take on?

-Balanced dog training incorporates a combination of positive reinforcement (treats, play, etc) along with corrective techniques to communicate behaviors effectively. It focuses on reinforcing desired behaviors while correcting unwanted ones, providing a more holistic approach to training. Using balanced training methods also enhances off-leash reliability and safety.

How does balanced dog training differ from other methods?

-Using an e-collar creates a strong bond between you and your dog through clear communication, trust and positive results. When fully trained with an e-collar, you and your dog will enjoy all the benefits that can come with going on outings. E-collars can also prevent dangerous situations from happening such as chasing wildlife and other dogs, running into traffic, or being too distracted to hear your commands. Think of it as an invisible leash to keep your dog safe.

What are the benefit's of an e-collar?

-All training is done by me. I take pride in the fact that I am the only one to work with your dog and can use my experience to customize all training to the exact needs of your dog. I am always just a phone call or text message away to provide whatever support you need both during and after the training process.

Who will be doing your training?

- I very much believe in building a dog training community. I am always here for the life of your dog to offer support and help with issues. In addition, there are opportunities for refresher lessons, pack walks, field trips and fun training activities.

What ongoing support do you provide after the initial training sessions?

-My favorite tools are a slip leash, e-collar, and prong collar. It is very much about what tools will best communicate with your dog to help the learning process.

What types of training equipment or tools do you use?

-I am a Palm Beach trainer but I also work within Broward County. Most training takes place at your home and then we add on field trips to dog appropriate locations when your dog is ready for that step.

What area/locations do you service?

-South Florida is an amazing dog friendly area. The areas of Boca Raton, Delray, Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, Lake Worth, Wellington and Loxahatchee provide tons of great outdoor locations from the parks, beaches and downtown areas. We have an abundance of outdoor festivals and art shows that are a great training environment. Any day that we end up at the beach or walking along the intercoastal is filled with moments providing training experiences.
